Strategy of brand reputation management on the Internet
We do not let negative mentions of the brand in the SERP (search engine results) to influence a potential client’s intentions to choose the brand’s products and services. We include work on maintaining the purity of Google SERPs for branded queries in the Performance strategy developed by the Big Lab digital agency to promote the client’s business.
Brand reputation analysis
We form a semantic core of queries by which users can search for mentions of the brand. The core includes branded queries (company name, company name+city) as well as combined queries with the words “reviews”, “customer feedback”, “comments”.
We analyze Google SERP for the selected search queries and evaluate its current tone.
Neutral
There are 2-4 results with positive brand mentions in Google SERP. It is necessary to increase the volume of brand presence in Google.
Positive
The number of mentions in SERP is about 6-8, all of them are positive. Need to update mentions in SERP to maintain the image of an active company on the market.
Negative
There are no mentions of the brand in the SERP or there are negative reviews. The SERP requires correction: filling with positive reviews, neutralizing negative ones.
Creating a SERM strategy
We form a strategy based on SERP analysis and current business needs:
We create a list of platforms to work on brand reputation management.
We make a mediaplan for bringing the queries to the top and the schedule of postings.
Feedback websites
We prepare a list of platforms for the initial posting of company cards and reviews on it. We form a list of feedback websites that have negative reviews required to be neutralized.
Mass media
We draw up a plan of collaboration with mass media in order to increase the frequency of brand mentions. We make a list of mass media for posting news materials about the company, press releases, expert comments by brand representatives.
Other platforms
We form a list of platforms the content of which can be directly influenced. We plan work with the brand’s website and the company’s social networks. We consider the feasibility of creating a brand feedback website.
